"The Return of the Repressed"

The return of the repressed is a theory discovered by Sigmund Freud. It basically states that memory's and feelings that are of anger, trauma, hate and any other emotion that gets hidden away, will eventually return in some form. That is why the theory is called "Return of the Repressed" because the feelings and emotions that have been repressed will return.

Why this Trailer?
I like this trailer because it gives you a clear setting and gives you good information about the plot. As well as doing this it leaves you wanting to know more. They have used bright lighting to begin with which helps us whilst we learn about the plot, as the plot thickens throughout the trailer the lighting gets more low key and sinister. The music in this trailer also starts of quite light and as we learn more about the film the music gets more upbeat and intense. We get to see short and sharp flashes of scenes from the film that build up our suspense. Towards the end of the trailer we see a series of texts that keep us interested for example the films main text is " you will never guess her secret" this makes us want to know the girls secret because the film is implying that it is something that you would never think of.
